At The Sophia Consulting Firm, we believe that innovation must be accessible, actionable, and future-focused. Our Digital Marketing Apprenticeship Program is designed to equip emerging leaders—ages 16–24—with the skills, experience, and mentorship they need to thrive in today’s dynamic workforce.
This one-year workforce development program is designed with scalability and sustainability in mind. Launching in Q4 2025 with funding and strategic support from the Orange County Department of Education (OCDE), the Digital Marketing Apprenticeship begins in Orange County, California, engaging directly with local students, schools, and families.
Looking ahead, The Sophia Consulting Firm plans to expand the program regionally, nationally, and eventually globally—guided by measurable results in workforce development and collaboration with strategic partners who share a common vision: preparing apprentices for success in a tech-driven world where digital fluency is essential to innovation.

We take a holistic, purpose-driven approach rooted in the Amplifying Scientific Innovation® framework:
This program is made possible by trusted collaborations that reflect our commitment to credibility, community, and capacity-building:
We are also cultivating relationships with local employers, universities, and nonprofit partners to ensure ongoing opportunities for growth, placement, and mentorship.
Our one-year Digital Marketing Apprenticeship is structured around four progressive quarters designed to build confidence, creativity, and professional fluency:
Apprentices receive direct mentorship, access to real-world projects, and the opportunity to shape the digital presence of a growing innovation brand.
Applications for this role are now closed on Apprentiscope.

Ready to empower the next generation of innovators?
Whether you're a student, educator, or community partner, we’d love to hear from you. Let’s explore how we can work together to expand access to digital skills and drive measurable impact.

Our next apprenticeship initiative is in development and focused on expanding access to knowledge, infrastructure, and opportunity in STEM.
The Amplifying Scientific Innovation® Apprenticeship Program is a dual-track model in Digital Marketing and Lab Research, designed to bridge classroom learning and real-world innovation. Building on the success of our inaugural Digital Marketing Apprenticeship, this next phase will formally launch in early 2026 to expand career-connected learning opportunities for youth ages 16–24.
The story of Amplifying Scientific Innovation® began with Dr. Sophia Ononye, a scientist and entrepreneur whose career was shaped by her formative experience as a National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduates (NSF-REU) cancer research intern. That early exposure to laboratory science and mentorship sparked a lifelong commitment to making scientific knowledge more accessible and actionable.
Five years ago, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Ononye founded The Sophia Consulting Firm and launched the Amplifying Scientific Innovation® Video Podcast to help bridge the gap between scientific discovery and public understanding.
Today, the same mission continues through a statewide apprenticeship model that blends storytelling, mentorship, and skill-based learning to prepare the next generation of innovators.
Post-pandemic learning gaps have widened, and nearly half of hiring managers now report that college graduates are underprepared for the workforce (Resume.org, 2025). This initiative responds directly to that reality—transforming curiosity into career readiness through applied experience and guided mentorship.
The Amplifying Scientific Innovation® Apprenticeship Program connects science, strategy, and storytelling through two complementary learning pathways—each aligned to a registered occupation and assessed through Apprentiscope, which tracks every apprentice’s skills, milestones, and growth.
Our goal is to cultivate a future-ready California workforce through two registered occupations:
Both pathways emphasize guided mentorship, competency-based learning, and Apprentiscope tracking to ensure measurable, verifiable progress that aligns with state and national workforce standards.
The Amplifying Scientific Innovation® Apprenticeship Program is being developed as a scalable, statewide initiative in partnership with:
